Port Coquitlam - Port Coquitlam residents are able to view reports about environmental initiatives and other information. Residents can log on to the website and view council reports and awards.
The Tri-City News reports that, residents in Port Coquitlam that want to learn more about the city's accomplishments over the last year and view audited financial statements, can now view them, after a 2011 yearly report was released last week.
The booklet includes detailed information about infrastructure upgrades to environmental initiatives, in an easy to read format. The Report to the Community is also available in a smaller version of the bigger document.
Port Coquitlam Mayor, Greg Moore said, "These reports are an excellent source of information about Port Coquitlam. We hope to see copies of our Report to the Community in waiting rooms across the city."
Over the last six years, PoCo's yearly reports have been given awards from the Government Finance Officers Associated of the United States and Canada. The GFOA are considering the 2011 report for the Canadian Financial Reporting Award.
After the June 25th meeting, the Port Coquitlam council will consider the report. It is possible to view the report at or it can be picked up at city hall.
