Billings - Road accident kills child and injures another child and woman in Montana. Two boys and a woman were thrown from the vehicle as she lost control.
According to the Billings Gazette, a single vehicle rollover killed one child and injured a woman and second child on Saturday morning. This occurred halfway between Billings and Hardin on Interstate 90.
Trooper Jason Hopper of the Montana Highway Patrol said that the accident occurred near a rest stop at mile marker 476 on I-90 at around 6:30 a.m.
A woman from Polson was driving a Chevy S-10 when she drifted into a median. The woman was not speeding, but over-corrected and then lost control. The SUV ended up back in the median on its wheels after it had rolled over several times.
Hopper said that the woman and the two boys were thrown from the vehicle and one child died. An ambulance transported the woman and child to St Vincent Health-care, but Hopper was uncertain of their medical condition.
