Glendale - Two Glendale police officers were elbowed by a man who was attending a wedding this weekend. The brawl broke out at a banquet facility.
According to Los Angeles Times, Karpis Termendzyan, is currently facing charges for battery and vandalism. Termendzyan was arrested Saturday after officers were responding to the fight, that broke out among more than one hundred people at a wedding banquet. Numerous witnesses called the police to inform them of the fight that occurred at 11:52p.m.
The brawl took place at Dream Palace banquet hall in the 500 block of East Broadway in Glendale. Termendzyan, aged 36, is from Van Nuys and was arrested due to aggressive behavior. Termendzyan spat at one officer and tried to elbow two others. According to Sgt. Tom Lorenz, later that morning, he kicked in the rear window of a police car.
Spartak Karabedian, 22, was also arrested for drunken behavior and released on Sunday. Witnesses spoke of many people wielding knives at the event. According to police, Karabedian started the fight inside the banquet hall. The brawl details are still unclear, because other party goers are refusing to discuss details with the police.
