A Texas dad has taken matters into his own hands, literally, and served justice on a man who he said was caught in the act of abusing his daughter.
One alleged child abuser has been killed in Texas, when the father of the four-year old alleges he found the 47 year-old man abusing the little girl. The incident occurred at a social gathering, with the little girl left in the house while everyone was outside tending to horses.
The alleged abuser was also a horse groomer, but when the father of the four-year old entered the house and caught the man in the act, the dad struck the man in the head more than once.
Neither the victim or the father have been identified so far, since the deceased victim's family has yet to be notified of his death.
Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon was quoted at CNN as stating: "You have a right to defend your daughter. He acted in defense of his third person. Once the investigation is completed we will submit it to the district attorney who then submits it to the grand jury, who will decide if they will indict him." The sheriff reported the child is: "OK besides the obvious mental trauma." The alleged abuser died from blunt force trauma, not inflicted by a weapon, plus injuries to his neck. The deceased was pronounced dead at the scene.
