Kiev - A plane carrying 16 parachute students has crashed landed during severe weather in Ukraine, killing at least five people on board.
The small plane crash landed during severe weather at Borodyanka airport, 30kms from Kiev, on Sunday afternoon, the Guardian reported. The emergency situations minister announced the plane tried to land "during a heavy rainstorm with high winds."
According to en.rian the L-410 aircraft belonging to the Ukrainian School of Pilots and was carrying 18 people, 16 parachute students and two crew members. Five people are reported as killed and 13 injured.
An investigation has been launched by emergency and security officials.
The Ukrainian Pilot School is certified by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine.
