Inverness - A 19-year-old man has collapsed and died at a rock festival in the Scottish Highlands. The teenager was attending the Rockness music festival in Loch Ness.
The man was taken unwell in the main stage arena where acts Deadmau5, Annie Mac and Beardyman were performing. The man was then taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where he failed to respond to treatment for a suspected drug overdose, reports the BBC.
The tragedy comes a day after two men died in a road accident on their way to the music festival . The crash involved a bus ferrying passengers from Edinburgh to the festival, which had 46 people on board. The accident happened during daylight on Friday afternoon on a stretch of the A9 close to Ralia. Scotland's regional police force, the Northern Constabulary named the two men who died as Mark McFarlane, 38, and Barry Murray, 28, they were decorators from Glasgow.
Rockness attracts around 36,000 people over a three-day period and finishes on Sunday. Other headline acts this year include Ed Sheeran and Biffy Clyro.
