94 percent of union members voted yes earlier today to taking strike action over bonus pay during the London Olympics. 40 percent of union members turned out to vote.
The union predicts 800,00 extra passengers will use the bus network during the Olympics. It also claims other transportation workers in the city are receiving bonuses of £500 to £900 for the extra work load.

Transport for London says bus workers are employed by private firms and their pay is set by those firms and not them.
A date for strike action is expected to be announced later this week.
The London Olympics are set to begin July 27.
