On early Wednesday a teen shot himself right in the head by accident. The incident took place during a chat right on webcam.
The 18-year-old man thought he was handling a gun that was not loaded. He was handling the gun and then shot himself in the head after the person he was talking to challenged the manhood of the teen, according to police.
Sources say that the teen's two brothers were in the room when the shooting took place. One of the brothers is just 13-years-old, according to East Detectives Capt. John Gallagher.
According to NY Daily, the Philadelphia teen said something like "I'll show you" when his manhood was challenged. That is when the teen apparently tried to shock the other person and shot himself in the head.
According to Sacramento Bee, the teen is now in the hospital. He remains in critical condition.
Officials are saying that they are trying to figure out who the teen was talking to when he shot himself in the head. Investigators want to know if the exchange was actually recorded.
Investigators say that the brothers were sleeping during the incident. Police have decided not to release the teen's name.
