article imageVideo: Neighbor saves toddler dangling over 40-foot balcony

A young boy in Guangzhou, China got into a very dangerous situation up on the fourth floor of an apartment building when he climbed out onto a balcony.
The toddler had gone out onto a fourth floor balcony and got caught between the bars of the structure with his head wedged in the railing, located 40-feet above ground.
ABC News reported on the video, which shows the boy dangling and hanging on for life. The footage shows a man wearing a yellow shirt, presumably the downstairs neighbor, heroically climbing out his own window from the apartment below and scaling across the building's exterior wall.
He tries to push the toddler back up, giving him support so he did not fall. When he could not get the boy back above the balcony, the man, putting himself at risk, held the boy in place so he did not plunge off the balcony to the streets below. He stayed in this position until rescue workers could arrive, ABC reported.
According to the Daily Mail, a crowd below had assembled, holding a large yellow blanket to catch the boy in the event he did fall. The video clip shows a brief glimpse of the blanket being spread out.
The boy was able to be pulled back into his apartment and is reportedly doing OK. It is not clear where the youngster's parents were at the time of this incident.
