Thousands of supporters mostly coming from the Filipino community in Las Vegas and fans from around the world have converged at the lobby of the MGM Grand Hotel
to watch and greet the Filipino boxing star.
Bradley and his entourage came in a bit earlier than Pacquiao. He was likewise greeted by his own fans and supporters who were waiting at the hotel lobby.. There was no face -to-face meeting between the two ring icons during the arrival ceremonies.
Pacquiao is coming off a controversial win over Mexican counter-puncher Juan Manuel Marquez last November also at the MGM Grand.
Marquez, who has been calling out Pacquiao for another fight is reportedly traveling to Las Vegas to watch the Pacquiao-Bradley fight. Marquez claims he was robbed of victory in their last fight.
Pacquiao's promoter Bob Arum, who also promotes Marquez, is reported to be in favor of staging another fight between Pacquiao and Marquez,
possibly in November.
In a related development, American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be singing the National Anthem for the Pacquiao-Bradley fight this weekend.
The 16-year-old Filipino/Mexican-American singing sensation will sing before a live audience of more than 14,000 inside the MGM Grand Arena and to millions of viewers from around the world.
