Los Angeles - At the E3 video games show in Los Angeles, Nintendo have unveiled some of the new games for their anticipated new games consul - the Wii U.
No date has been set for the launch of the new Wii U consul yet. This hasn't, however, prevented the Japanese games giant Nintendo from giving a preview of some of the new games for the consul.
At the E3 video games trade fare Nintendo has presented the first 23 video games which will be made available for the video consul. These games, as the BBC reports, include a Batman themed game called "Batman Arkham City: Armored Edition" and a zombie action game, perhaps appropriately titled "ZombiU".
Other game titles, Eurogamer notes, include perennial favorite Mario Brothers, rebooted as "New Mario Bros U", plus "Aliens: Colonial Marines" and "Assassin's Creed 3".
In a change of track, the games for the new Wii are aimed more at dedicated gamers, who generally flock towards Playstations and Xbox consoles, than the more 'family friendly' traditional Wii products.
Although there is little detail on the Wii U or any dates for its release, Engadget have reported that Nintendo have said that the new consul will support two of its touch screen game pads at the same time. Thye consul will also integrate into Nintendo's Miiverse social network.
This follows another key announcement from the E3 expo, a laptop-tablet hybrid computer.
