The WAAS Gallery in Dallas, TX said
of Fougerousse's work, "He brings an almost child-like innocence into a darker subject matter."
At the klfstudios
website, the following statement can be found, "An American painter, Kevin Lewis Fougerousse passionately composes his compositions by giving us an unfiltered look into the rawest places of his psyche. We are allowed to peak through a cracked door and attempt to find meaning in the mysteries stretched before us. His unorthodox perception of this world makes his translation of it a subject of beautiful intrigue."
"It is my search. It's my tears and my hope. The pieces of my heart, my life laid out. My art. . . It's all I have to give," Fougerousse states about his current collection.
More than 50 works of art by Kevin Lewis Fougerousse are currently on exhibit at the ArtSeen 107
gallery in Bentonville, AR.
Digital Journal was on hand at the opening reception for Kevin Lewis Fougerousse on May 30th where attendees met the artist and viewed his eclectic mix of artwork.
In terms of a personal favorite, I found "Feast Eternal" to be quite interesting because it reminded me of the University of Arkansas' team mascot, the Razorbacks.
The Fougerousse exhibition at ArtSeen 107 continues through June 24. Admission to the gallery is free. For more information, including the prices of Fougerousse's artwork, call 1-479-619-9115.
