Israel’s Tourism Ministry invites CSI investigators to visit. The four actors from the hit TV series are in Israel on a vacation as guests for a tour around and not involved in filming or investigating crime scene investigations.
The four leading actors, stars of CSI: Miami, Jonathan Togo (Ryan Wolfe) and Omar Miller (Walter Simmons) and Carmine Giovinazzo and AJ Buckley, stars of CSI: New York are visiting the Holy land for a week’s tour and intend to pay visits to Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, the Dead Sea and Masada and the Galilee, amongst other Israeli attractions.
CSI Miami and New York are spin off series of the Emmy winning CBS series Crime Scene Investigation Las Vegas.
In a press release by the Israel Tourism Ministry Tourism Minister Stas Misezhnikov says that the Tourism Ministry invite an increasing number of celebrities and ‘opinion formers’ each year in order to expose them to and allow them to experience Israel’s diverse tourist industry.
Misezhnikov continues to say that the Ministry has had and is continuing with a massive international marketing campaign “with the all-time record high in incoming tourism that is expected to bring 3.8 million tourists by year end.”
