Tokyo - Two American men were arrested in Tokyo, Japan, in connection to the death of a twenty-one year old female Irish exchange student.
The exchange student, Nicola Furlong, 21, from County Wexford, Ireland, was discovered unconscious in a hotel room late last week. This was just a few hours after going to a Nicki Minaj concert.
According to MSNBC, Furlong was then brought to the hospital where she died. An autopsy suggests that Furlong could have been strangled.
According to CBS, media reports in Japan say that Furlong, her friend and the two Americans all met up at the concert on Thursday.
James Jamari Blackston, 23, and a 19-year-old musician were arrested on suspicion of sexually molesting Furlong's friend. The 19-year-old suspect has not been named because under Japanese law he is still a minor.
According to DailyMail, the men are being questioned about the student's death because one of them was with her when she was found unconscious.
There are also reports saying that Furlong went back to the men's hotel after the concert was over. A hotel guest complained that they heard a loud noise coming from one of the hotel rooms, and that is when a hotel employee went to the room and found Furlong on the floor and one of the American men standing nearby.
Sources say that it looked like nobody else had entered the room.
