Serendipity 3, the popular Manhattan restaurant that has been featured in several films, including 2001's romantic comedy Serendipity, unveiled the world's most expensive hamburger, this week, according the Guinness
Book of World Records.
So what's on the world's most expensive hamburger?
According to their Facebook
page, The Serendipity Guinness World Record Burger is a mix of assorted cuts of Japanese Waygu beef infused with 10-herb white truffle butter, seasoned with Salish – Alderwood smoked pacific sea salt, topped with cheddar cheese – hand-formed by the famous cheesemaker, James Montgomery in Somerset, England and cave-aged for 18 months, topped with shaved black truffles, a fried quail egg ... topped with a blini, crème fraiche, and Paramout Caviar’s exclusive Kaluga caviar – a beautiful golden caviar with buttery, nutty taste, large pearls from the Huso Dauricus farm raised in Quzhou, China.
But that's not all.
This incredible burger is even topped with a little bling –– a 24K gold -dusted Campagna Roll and a solid gold "Fleur de Lis" toothpick, encrusted with diamonds, designed by world-renowned jeweler Euphoria New York.
Le Burger Extravagant sells for $295.00 (£186.52).
According to the restaurant press release
, the profits of this record-breaking burger will be donated to the Bowery Mission -- serving homeless and hungry New Yorkers since 1879.
