article imageWWE: Update on when the Rock will return to the WWE in 2013

By Chris Humphrey     May 26, 2012 in Sports
After once again leaving the WWE like he said he would never do again, the plans for his return have been leaked by the Rock himself after not being seen on WWE television since his promo at the beginning of the post-WrestleMania Raw SuperShow.
Here are the details on what Rock said on his Twitter account when asked about his return to the WWE Friday evening.
To keep with his proclamation on the Raw SuperShow following WrestleMania 28 in April, the WWE will likely work out a way for Rock to capture the WWE title from the current champion as he returns for the start of the Road to WrestleMania.
With a January return to the company, the Rock could be a surprise entrant in the 2013 Royal Rumble match where he can earn a title shot for the WWE Championship at the upcoming WrestleMania 29 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
As a winner of the Royal Rumble, the Rock would still be able to miss some episodes of Raw through the Road to WrestleMania but who would he face for the championship at the biggest event of the year for the WWE?
Following WrestleMania 28, there were rumors floating around that Rock would face Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship at next year’s WrestleMania which could be set up as rematch from their contest at SummerSlam 2002.
The possible main event between Rock and Lesnar for the WWE Championship next year could very well top the hype along with the awesome match between the Great One and John Cena at this past WrestleMania.
With his return planned for the beginning of 2013, what would you like to see the Rock do during his likely short run through the Road to WrestleMania and opponent in his probable match at WrestleMania 29?
