Talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has offered to mediate the long-running negotiations for the fight everyone in the boxing world wants to see — the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight.
On his late night show Kimmel told Pacquiao he would love to act as mediator in the hope that the long-awaited fight could eventually happen for all boxing fans to see.
Here is Part 2 of the interview by Jimmy Kimmel courtesy of Examiner.com
It was Pacquiao's sixth appearance on the show since November 2009. The Filipino boxing star said he feels lucky every time he drops by the show days before fighting in Las Vegas or in any part of the US. He has not lost a fight since gracing the show three years ago.
In the show, Kimmel and Pacquiao talked about the eight-division world champion's upcoming fight with Palm Springs boxing sensation Timothy Bradley, who is undefeated in all his 29 professional fights.
They also touched on Pacquiao's controversial statement about President Obama's stance on same-sex marriage which drew outrage from the gay community.
Pacquiao clarified he is not against gays in general but he is not in favor of same sex marriage as President Obama had recently endorsed for legislation.
The controversy arose from an article posted on Examiner.com alleging that Pacquiao quoted from Leviticus 20:13 which condemns same sex union.
The Bible quotes which was disowned by Pacquiao and later admitted by the Examiner's writer to be his own, were derived from Leviticus 20:13 which says, “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”
"God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other" Pacquiao reportedly said.
"It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of Old" he added.

Kimmel also talked about Pacquiao's religious transformation. Pacquiao said he has given up vices, including womanizing, cockfighting, drinking and gambling, among others. Instead he has renewed his faith in God by reading the Bible and spreading the good news.
Pacquiao has said he will retire after two or three more fights but in his recent Los Angeles arrival statement he said he will continue fighting.
Pacquiao, who is now on his final phase of training at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, is set to face Bradley on June 9 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
