Last week, the WWE signed Flair’s daughter
, Ashley Fliehr Johnson, to a developmental deal with the company that first sparked rumors of the two-time Hall of Famer returning even before he left TNA this week.
Here are the details from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via WrestlingInc.com
) on what the future holds for the Nature Boy making a return to the WWE following leaving TNA this week.
Regarding a return to WWE, some in the company believe he will be brought back because of the WWE Network and because Triple H will go to bat for him to be used again. Don't expect to see Flair ever wrestle for WWE again because of the retirement stipulation.
Even though being great to see Flair return to the WWE, the better option would be for the multiple time world champion to officially hang it up and walk away after one of the greatest careers in the history of professional wrestling.
If Flair does make his way back to the WWE, he could possibly have a feud with the exceedingly dull John Laurinaitis for control of Raw and Smackdown so we don’t have to deal with Johnny Ace as much each week.
Following leaving TNA on possibly not the best of terms, would you like to see Ric Flair return to the WWE as a manager or some sort of on-air personality for the company in the next couple weeks?
