The promotions company that brought Justin Bieber to the Philippines last year said Jennifer Lopez will be holding a concert in Manila in November, possibly with "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sanchez
Jun Lorenz Mamangon, who represents the company that made possible the show of Justin Bieber last year, said Lopez will be joined by
Enrique Iglesias but the half-Filipino singer, who is the son of famous singer Julio Iglesias, is not yet sure if he can join the concert.
The Manila concert will be held at the SM Mall of Asia where Lady Gaga is currently doing her "Born This Way" concert amid religious protests from local residents. Another venue, The Concert grounds is also being considered.
"I'm proud to announce that I'm bringing over Jennifer Lopez to Manila. We've been discussing this concert for over a year and a half. I had a good discussion with her manager last Tuesday (when things were finalized),"
said promoter Jun Mamangon.
"I'm pushing for Jessica Sanchez to be Jennifer's front act and probably have her perform at least two songs for the Filipino concert goers," he added.
Lopez has just been named the
most powerful celebrity for 2012 by the prestigious Forbes Magazine. Oprah Winfrey is this year's second most powerful celebrity, followed by teen star Justin Bieber at third and singer Rihanna at fourth.
Lady Gaga, who was last year's most powerful celebrity, dropped to No. 5 in the current ranking.
Lopez is one of the
American Idol judges who saved Jessica Sanchez after she was
