article imageFacebook's Mark Zuckerberg marries Priscilla Chan

By Kay Mathews     May 19, 2012 in Lifestyle
Palo Alto - There is a lot of activity on Zuckerberg's Facebook Timeline including his listing Facebook on NASDAQ yesterday and getting married today.
The wedding picture on Zuckerberg's Timeline shows the beautiful bride, Priscilla Chan, with her hair in a bun under a stunning white veil. The white dress has spaghetti straps and a laced v-neck. Zuckerberg tossed aside his typical t-shirts for the occasion and donned a blue suit, white dress shirt and blue tie. So far, more than 152,000 people "like" the photo.
This "Life Event" was posted at approximately 8:10 p.m. and reads: Mark added a life event to May 19, 2012 on his timeline: Married Priscilla Chan
According to the Washington Post, Chan is Zuckerberg's "longtime girlfriend" and the wedding took place in Palo Alto, Calif. where Facebook is headquartered.
Facebook founder and CEO Zuckerberg, 28, met Chan, 27, "at Harvard and have been together for more than nine years" reports USA Today.
On Monday, Chan graduated from medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, which happened to be the same day Zuckerberg celebrated his 28th birthday. USA Today reports that "the ceremony took place in Zuckerberg's backyard before fewer than 100 guests, who all thought they were there to celebrate Chan's graduation."
Zuckerberg is said to have designed the wedding ring featuring "a very simple ruby."
Zuckerberg's fiancée graduated from med school last Monday, he celebrated his 28th birthday on that day, took Facebook public on Friday, and married Chan on Saturday. Some would say those are quite impressive events to squeeze in a week's timeline.
