Newfield - A professional tattoo artist has taken his passion and art to extreme lengths to keep his iPod nano Touch stuck to him, literally.
Dave Hurban, 21, a tattoo artist and body piercer from New Jersey has made an innovative use of his trade-craft and claims to have invented the Strapless Watch.
Hurban had meticulously mapped and marked the four corners of his iPod Nano Touch on his arm and then pierced his wrist and later surgically implanted four magnetic titanium studs beneath the skin. These studs helped him in attaching his iPod directly to his flesh magnetically, after his incisions healed.
"I just invented the strapless watch," he said on Monday of his Apple device, set to display a clock, reported Reuters. "It is way simpler than you think it is," said Hurban, who posted his "How To" video on YouTube, where it has been viewed nearly 900,000 times in two weeks.
Hurban works in a tattoo parlor in Newfield, New Jersey and is passionate about body piercing too. He has got two piercings on his lip and one on each ear. His unusual application of the art was a big hit in Baltimore last weekend.
"I must have talked to like 400 people individually,' he said. “Every person I showed, they were like so amazed", he told Reuters.
