Houston police say that a woman who goes by the stage name "Pocahontas" admitted that she served as bait, luring two men right into robberies. Both men were shot and one man died, court records allege.
According to the Houston Chronicle, "Pocahontas," or Luerissie Ashley Ross has been charged with capital murder in the death of Budrohoe Briscoe back in February. The incident took place near an apartment complex in north Houston. On Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued.
According to the Daily Mail, Ross, 20, arranged a meeting with Burdrohoe on Feburary 17, after she sent photos of herself to him via text.
Briscoe, who went with a friend to pick up the stripper, described Ross as a 'friend'. When Briscoe and his friend was with Ross, she was heard taking a phone call and saying "Yes, there's two of them.
According to ABC, Briscoe's friend said that Ross then said she needed to go back to her apartment to grab something.
Court documents say that they went back to the complex, and a white Lincoln was parked out back with two males in it. When Briscoe parked the car, Ross exited and then shortly after Briscoe was told to go and meet her. That is when Briscoe went to the courtyard. Ross was waiting their with two males and that is when Briscoe was robbed and shot.
Briscoe ended up dying in the hospital on February 29.
Police found out that Ross worked at a strip club under the name Pocahontas. Police also say that Ross was involved in another shooting and robbery on January 20. That incident also took place in the area.
According to investigators, Ross admitted that she did set Briscoe up and she was present the night Briscoe was shot.
Ross was charged but then released. As of now, he has not been found.
