Austin guitarist David Didonato is livestreaming his attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records streak for the longest guitar solo of all time.
The longest guitar solo is recorded at a whopping 24 hours at 18 minutes. Didonato took up the challenge last night, starting 6 p.m. local time and will end his attempt tonight at 7 p.m.

Didonato is livestreaming his guitar soloing at Red 7 in Austin. At times, he looks dreary and tired. He's allowing himself to take five-minute food and bathroom breaks.
To watch Didonato in action, if you happen to be in the Austin area, it will cost you $1 per hour, Mashable notes.
Didonato is a music instructor and guitarist of the band Modok in Texas.
