Bill Kreutzmann, one of the founding members of the Grateful Dead, will be releasing a book in the future. The drummer has a book deal.
Bill Kreutzmann has a very long story to tell. The founding member of the Grateful Dead will now have the chance to tell his strange, long story.
According to THonline, Kreutzmann will be releasing a memoir sometime in 2015. St. Martin's press, the publisher of the book, made the announcement. As of now the book does not have a title.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, the drummer will reflect about his bond with Jerry Garcia. The book will also include reflections of his memories of Bob Dylan and even the Rolling Stones.
According to the Pioneer Press, the drummer has just turned 66. Kreutzmann helped form the Grateful Dead back in the 1960s.
Garcia ended up dying in 1995. When Garcia died Kreutzmann started touring with his own bands and he has played with many different musicians. Some of the musicians that he has played with include Phis and Neal Schon of Jounrey.
Kreutzmann, who turned 66 this week, helped form the Dead in the mid-1960s along with Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir and Ron "Pigpen" McKernan. Since Garcia's death in 1995, Kreutzmann has been touring with his own bands and playing with a wide variety of musicians, from Phish and Journey guitarist Neal Schon to Lesh and other former members of the Dead.
