article imageVideo: Father saves child who falls from moving car in China

By JohnThomas Didymus     May 12, 2012 in World
Wenzhou - Footage from a traffic camera broadcast on Chinese state television shows a man jumping out of the driver's seat of a moving car and running to rescue his four-year-old daughter who fell out of the car.
The child fell out of the car at a busy intersection in Wenzhou city in China's southeastern Zhejian province.
The video shows the child falling out of one of the front doors of the car, narrowly missing the back wheel, into the path of a taxi following behind the car. The taxi manages to stop just in time to avoid running over the child. The father leaps out of his moving car and runs to pick up his daughter while his car, still moving, runs off the road into a nearby tree.
The Telegraph reports that a police officer who witnessed the incident, said: "I heard the taxi braked suddenly. Then I saw a child fall out on the ground. A second later, I saw a car without driver inside hit the tree. I rushed there. It turned out that the child climbed from the back of the seat to the front while her father was driving and accidentally opened the door."
BBC reports the man said his daughter crawled into the front passenger seat from the back seat and opened the door suddenly while he was driving.
According to The Telegraph, the child suffered only a minor bruising.
