Manchester United and their foes from the same city, Manchester City, were both victorious on Sunday, and still have the same amount of points.
Manchester City won their game against Newcastle by a score of 2-0. Yaya Toure scored both goals, in the 70th and 89th minutes, to lead his team to victory,
Manchester United had won their game against Swansea City by a score of 2-0. Paul Scholes scored in the 27th minute to give his team a 1-0 lead. Ashley Young added another one for the Red Devils in the 40th minute to increase the lead to 2-0.
Although the teams are tied in points, Manchester City still have the edge. City have a larger goal difference against their opponents (63) than United (55).
Both have one game left to play. Manchester City will face Queens Park Rangers on Sunday, May 13th while their rivals will play Sunderland on the same day.
If Manchester City do finish on top this season, it will be their first time since 1968 to finish first in the standings.
