A flatbed trailer pulled by a pickup truck was seen on 6th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The truck had eight effigies dangling on the hangman's noose, and the one in the center was a representation of President Barack Obama.
One of the signs on the back of the "Hanging Truck" reads:

According to The Blaze, the truck belongs to V.R. Phipps from North Carolina. Phipps alleges that some members of his family were murdered by local law enforcement and that a "massive cover-up" has prevented him from getting justice. To draw attention to his ordeal, he built a gallows and constructed a hanging truck. The Blaze reports that in an early version of his hanging truck, there were only six people dangling on the noose. But the version of his gallows displayed in Manhattan includes "a judge, a highway patrolman, former Attorney General, the current Governor of North Carolina, a chief counsel and a county Sheriff."
On Phipp's website is the message:
The gallows pictured that have been constructed as a resistance to a highly corrupted fourth judicial district of North Carolina, especially that of Duplin County. Duplin County is known for its family run corrupt judicial system since the 1898 marriage of the Johnsons and the Stevens. The Blaze called the Secret Service headquarters in Brooklyn and told them of the truck with the gallows displaying an effigy of the President of the United States hanging on a noose. The Blaze reports that an agent on duty said they were aware of the truck and the man driving it and said vaguely that were "on it."
