This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones, CBS reports.A documentary is set to be released in September, and a book commemorating the Stones will be out later this year.
According to Forbes, sources say Keith Richards has been writing songs and putting together demos for a new album, and there are rumors that Jagger has listened to them and that the two are starting to work together.
The NY Daily News is also reporting that rumors have been circulating about a 2013 Rolling Stones tour. Stones guitarist Ron Wood said recently that he, Jagger, Richards, and Charlie Watts had been brainstorming ideas for new songs.
Jagger's most recent record was with the super group SuperHeavy whose members include Joss Stone, Damian Marley, A.R. Rahman, and Dave Stewart.
There is a lot of speculation as to what Jagger will perform as Rolling Stone reports that SuperHeavy is not billed for the show. Many believe he will perform a Stones song to commemorate their 50th anniversary. No official word yet on if any other Stones members will be joining Jagger on stage.
