Miami - After going down to the Heat, 0-2, an extremely frustrated Amar'e Stoudemire punched the glass surrounding a fire extinguisher at American Airlines Arena in Miami, ESPN reports.
A team spokesman has confirmed that Stoudemire has been treated by paramedics and doctors, but according to ESPN , no further comments have been made regarding the injury.
The NJ Star Ledger reports that when asked about the incident, Knicks coach Mike Woodson replied, "Let's talk about the game. Thank you."
ESPN reports that Stoudemire was seen leaving the arena with his arm heavily bandaged and in a sling. A league source says the all-star is "almost certain" to miss Thursday's game, and maybe even the rest of the series.
According to USA Today, Stoudemire had 18 points and went 6 for 9 in shooting in the Knicks' loss against the Heat Tuesday.
The Knicks are already without Jeremy Lin (knee injury) and Iman Shumpert (torn left ACL). Now, Stoudemire will likely be added to that list. This series is becoming a total nightmare for the Knicks' organization.
