Country music legend Willie Nelson teams up with Operation Firing for Effect to promote a rally to protect veteran's benefits. The rally, named Operation Sin City, will take place May 15th and 16th in Las Vegas.
Willie Nelson and Operation Firing for Effect want to welcome all Veterans of the United States Military, families of veterans, politicians who represent veterans, attorneys who represent veterans, and all American tax payers to participate in the rally.
The purpose of the rally is to protect veteran's benefits from illegal assignment and seizure by courts across the United States. The website for Operation Sin City states:
The theme of the Rally will be "Protection of Veteran's Disability Benefits in State Courts." In addition, Repeal of the Uniform Services Former Spouse Protection Act (USFSPA) will be addressed on behalf of our retired military personal. A number of guest speakers will be in attendance, and veteran's advocates from all across the U.S. are scheduled to attend.
The rally planned for May 15th, 2012 will be held at Freedom Park located at 3241 E. Washington Ave., Las Vegas, Nevada from 1100 until 1600. The rally on May 16th, 2012 will take place on E. Bonanza Rd., which is located between N. Pecos and N. Lamb Ave in Las Vegas at 1100 until 1600.
Veterans are encouraged to wear military medals and ribbons to the rally, while other participants are encouraged to bring flags, signs and banners to show support for troops and their benefits.
