Police car rams into citizen at Bersih 3.0 Rally Special

Kuala Lumpur - With Al-Jazeera's camera smashed, the police and water cannon trucks had suddenly moved into position to face-off with the protestors.

One police car lost control & rammed into two demonstrators, causing the angry crowd to turn the car over to see if anyone was pinned under the car. This happened around town near the shopping complex at Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman where tens of thousands of people gathered for Bersih 3.0 rally. It appears that the driver had lost control. When the driver got out, several citizens started to assault him. When the other police got out, a couple of people shielded him to prevent them from suffering the same fate as they reasoned with the crowd by saying: "It's not their fault, it was an accident." They were ushered away while several others attended to the two casualties. Meanwhile, in the part of town leading up to Merdeka Square, Datuk Ambiga gives her speech.
