Video circulating in Turkey shows a man being buried alive allegedly by Bashar Assad's soldiers. Caution: the contents of this video are extremely disturbing and not suitable for viewing by all audiences.
A video clip circulating in Turkey shows an Arabic-speaking man being buried alive by Arabic-speaking soldiers. The man is allegedly a member of the Syrian opposition being executed in a gruesome manner in the city of Homs by troops loyal to the Syrian leader Bashar Al Assad. Video shows a man buried up to his neck next to a shallow grave. The man moans and recites from the Quran, the Muslim Holy Book, as men in military fatigues shovel dirt on his head and bury him completely.
The video, whose origin is unknown, was published by the Turkish Internet site Takvimhaber.com under the title "Assad's soldiers buried him alive." The site says this is only one of the examples of the Assad Regime's brutal treatment of its citizens that don't declare their loyalty to the regime. Authenticity of the video has not been confirmed. Some members of Middle Eastern media claim that Syria's crackdown on opposition has been exaggerated to justify military intervention by the international community.
