Ottawa - A new Ottawa not-for-profit group invites local writers who seek to explore ways of publishing, marketing and distributing their books.
Have you recently written a manuscript?
Are you thinking of writing a manuscript?
Are you frustrated by rejection letters from trade publishers?
Are you seeking to publish your own book?
A new Ottawa group seeks to empower local writers who seek to publish their own book. This group is called Ottawa Media Marketing and Advertising Social Networkers.
Many writers often deal with the frustration of rejection letters from publishers. However, through self-publishing writers can avoid the frustration of rejection letters from publishers.
Self-publish.ca elaborates:
Self-publishing is an honourable tradition as old as the printing press, and there are many reasons for an author to choose self-publishing.
Self-publishing is an interesting and rewarding process in which the author, as publisher, has complete control over every aspect of the production of the book.
Have you published your own book, but have difficulties in marketing your book?
The Ottawa Media Marketing and Advertising Social Networkers group seeks to also help local writers with marketing and distributing to booksellers.
You might wish to attend a get together at 7 pm on Tuesday, 1 May 2012 in the By Ward Market for Ottawa writers, if you answered "yes" to any of these questions.
Proceeds from this event will support their not-for-profit activities.
