A condo in Greenwich Village, which will likely be known as the home of
Sex and the City's Carrie Bradshaw for years, has just sold for $9.85 million.
According to
People, the townhouse boasts four floors and five bedrooms. The 4,100 square foot property at 64 Perry St was previously purchased for $9 million in November 2011, but was subsequently put back on the market for $9.65 million.
The buyers are doing what they can to keep their identities anonymous reports the
New York Observer.
The large, posh 1866 townhouse also has its bragging rights with its herringbone floors, and six fireplaces with marble mantels appropriate for the time period says
NJ Daily News.
Perhaps the most famous part of this place is its stoop, where Parker's man-hungry character often received kisses and smoked cigarettes. The building was utilized for exterior shots in the show for the first three seasons.
It also serves as a tourist destination being a stop on Manhattan's Sex and the City tours.
The Observer also reports that fashion designer Tim Gunn once called an apartment within the same building home.
