One teenager in China discovered the dangers associated with walking down the street while talking on a cellphone. She plummeted into a sinkhole and was later rescued.
As the teenager walked down the street in north China talking on her cell phone, she was heavily into conversation and not paying attention to what was going on around her.
She stepped onto a sidewalk immediately after a road passes through, and missed the caution signs upon entering. She walked barely five feet before the sidewalk collapsed beneath her, plunging her down into a 20-feet deep sinkhole.
A nearby taxi driver, Wang Wei, saw the girl fall and jumped out of his car to assist the fallen teenager. He attempted to climb down the pit, but was unable to due to the distance down. Medical services arrived and lifted the girl out of the sinkhole, who was uninjured by very shaken up after her ordeal.
