Okay, so probably Lady Gaga doesn't care so much about this but some of us find these sort of numbers of interest, and mind-boggling: just last week, Lady Gaga, a.k.a. The Fame Monster, hit 50,000,000 Facebook Fans. And she doesn't even have the most.
She now sits, as of this day, April 23, 2012, with 50,168,660 Facebook Fans and, according to
starcount, a tracker of social media, she's gaining some 200,000 most weeks. It seems an extraordinary number but she is not first in Facebook Fans, in fact she's only third on the planet. Fear not though, she's tops in Twitter followers.
Lady Gaga: Most Twitter Followers
Gaga, who is set to start her 'Born This Way Ball' worldwide tour this week, kicking it off in Seoul, South Korea, is behind Eminem and Rihanna in Facebook Fans; Eminem has almost 56,000,000 and Rihanna is closing in on 55,000,000. Shakira is fourth, the late Michael Jackson fifth, soccer star Christiano Rinaldo is sixth and way down in seventh is Canadian pop star, Justin Bieber.
In the Twitter following category Lady Gaga is tops with 23,362,342 people worldwide who follow her every tweet; Bieber is second and Katy Perry third. In case you're thinking it's all shallow pop stars and celebs who'll get masses of Twitter followers, consider that U.S. President Barack Obama is in 7th with 14,500,000 followers, ahead of Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift.
And finally, in Youtube views it is Bieber on top with an astonishing 2,374,573,848 views; yeah, that's
billion. Here Rihanna has taken over from Gaga in second spot and has 2,272,273,084, while Gaga is in third with 2,120,663,511 Youtube views.
