A TV reporter was victim of an attack on live TV in South Carolina. During a live news broadcast, reporter Ashley Taylor, 23, was suddenly shoved aside by a man who grabbed the microphone and screamed, "I am that n****r!" into the camera.
The man, Justiin Moore, 20, was arrested by Myrtle Beach police. According to the police, Taylor, a reporter with WMBF, an NBC affiliate, said that about "5 black males" approached her crew as they prepared to do a report on how crime was impacting negatively on business along Ocean Boulevard. According to the police, "When she went live with her report, one of the black males pushed her to the side almost to the ground and ripped the microphone from her hand," and shouted, "I am that n****r!" into the camera.
The man then ran off "laughing and yelling." Police found Moore, a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, collared and charged him with misdemeanor assault and battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. According to Daily Mail, he is now being held in the Horry County jail in lieu of a $1356 bond.
Daily Mail reports Captain David Knipes of the Myrtle Beach Police Department, said: "It's very odd. In the 25 years I've worked here I don't remember an incident like this happening."
