Additionally, the UNHRC guaranteed an inquiry into the West Bank region, the historic Judea and Samaria biblical lands, and the impact of Jewish population increase and the settlements where Palestinians live, according to Shalom Life

This is another attempt by elements within the international community to de-legitimize Israel’s historic right to the Holy City of Jerusalem. There is no other nation on earth whose self-chosen capital city is not recognized by other nations, except for Israel. Since the days of King David the Israeli people have always claimed Jerusalem as their nation’s center. Even during centuries of exile when there was no nation of Israel, the Passover Seder concluded with the words, “Next year in Jerusalem.”
Jerusalem was under Jewish control for generations before the Roman Army force the Jewish community out of Israel during 135 CE. The Holy City is located between the West Bank and Israel. The Old City is a walled Mideast enclosure; the modern city is decorated with high-rises and housing complexes. It is holy to Judaism because this is the site of Jerusalem’s Temple, to Christianity because Messiah Yeshua taught here, and to Islam because Muslims believe the Prophet Muhammad's ascended to heaven here. In 1948, Israel claimed the city as its capital following the Arab-Israeli War before retaking the entire city during the 1967 Six-Day War.
Finally, Jerusalem’s status as Israel's capital has remained a point of international controversy: official acknowledgment by the international community has been suspended awaiting definitive resolution of regional territorial issues.
