After TSA officers decided to search him for explosives, an irate passenger stripped naked
to protest the search. The passenger
was identified as John Brennan who, by coincidence, shares the same name with presidential counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan.
Brennan was arrested and taken to jail for misdemeanour charges and indecent exposure
in public with bail set at $4,000 but was released after he pointed out to Oregon state law that protects his action. Brennan said he was tired of unreasonable security searches by TSA
. It's not known if he's already received any book offer or sponsorship deal.
Coincidentally, Brennan has the same name as John O. Brennan
, the counter-terrorism adviser to President Obama. Brennan was picked as Obama's first choice as CIA director, but withdrew his name after he was attacked in the media as having endorsed President George W. Bush's interrogation techniques. He's credited with having planned the military operation that killed Osama bin Laden
in May 2011.
