Boo's regular early morning cat alarm clock behavior was captured by his owners and posted on YouTube under the user name GarrulousCrap
; and what had seemed to the owners the infuriating behavior of their furry friend became a hilarious sensation online. The attention-seeking motivation
behind the behavior is evident:
The Hollywood Gossip
notes that in this home, the doorstop, for some reason, is on the door and not the wall as in most other houses. The cat reaches one paw under the bedroom door, and flicks the doorstop to wake everyone up.The video shows Boo waiting patiently outside the bedroom after his regular early morning cat alarm clock ritual.
The cat's owner comments: "My cat Boo has the terrible habit of messing with the door stop to wake us up early in the morning. He doesn't do it because he's hungry, he does it because he feels lonely. When he flicks the door stop it scares [us a lot] and we wake up right away."
