article imageTrailer: 'The Amazing Spider-Man' 2012 rebooted in 3-D

Peter Parker and alter ego Spider-Man return to the big screen this summer in the new action-packed film "The Amazing Spider-Man" 2012. Based on the Marvel Comics character this will be the fourth Spider-Man film to hit the big screen.
"With great power comes great responsibility," a saying Spidey fans know all too well, however I would venture to guess not as well as Marc Webb. Webb is the latest director tapped to take the helm of the newest chapter in the Spider-Man film franchise, "The Amazing Spider-Man."
Webb had some big shoes to fill directing the new film coming so soon after the highly successful trilogy by Sam Raimi’s, however Webb tells Total Film that he is confident about the project, saying, “Spider-Man is part of our culture, he’s a perennial character. He belongs on the big screen.”
The director added: “Spidey is constantly re-examined and there’s way too many versions of him in the comics… That was something I thought we could do cinematically.”
When it comes to shooting in 3-D Webb told the publication: “There’s an experiential component to 3-D that’s really fantastic and we’re experimenting with generating that point of view so you feel how Spider-Man feels when he’s jumping over these buildings."
In the conclusion of the interview Webb said, “I thought that was really exciting, not to mention an incredible level of acrobatics!”
The new installment features an all new cast of talented and accomplished actors with Stan Lee (of course) making his customary cameo appearance, in this film as Stan the Librarian.

Full Cast and crew
"The Amazing Spider-Man" tells the untold story of Peter Parker, an outcast teenager trying to find out who he really is. Abandoned by his parents as a boy, Peter is raised by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May and not unlike most high school boys Peter struggles to find his way through life, school and his first experience with love.
Along the way Peter stumbles across a mysterious briefcase belonging to his father and finds the contents leading him to Oscorp and a former partner of his father Dr.Curt Conners.
Although intrigued at first, Peter comes to find that his discovery of the briefcase will put Spider-Man in direct conflict with Connors' alter-reptilian-ego, "The Lizard" which will leave Peter to decide to use his powers and be the hero.
"The Amazing Spider-Man" is set to open July 3, 2012.
