article imageDick Cheney calls the Obama Administration a 'disaster'

By Paul Iddon     Apr 16, 2012 in Politics
The former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney has stated that the Obama Administration has been a disaster and that it would be a major disappoint if he was to be voted in for another term in office.
According to National Review, Politico.com and The State Column.com the former Vice President Dick Cheney has said in a Wyoming state Republican Party convention in Cheyenne that the Obama Administration "has been an unmitigated disaster."
Mr. Cheney stated quote:
"I can't think of a time when I felt it was more important for us to defeat an incumbent president today with respect to Barack Obama. I think he has been an unmitigated disaster to the country. I think to be in a position where he gets four more years in the White House to continue the politics he has, both with respect to the economy, the tax policy, and defense and some other areas would be a huge, huge disappoint."
The crowd at the convention numbered 300 and they greeted Dick and his wife Liz with a long standing ovation. Politically Wyoming is a very Republican oriented state and Cheney is well received when he visits there. This was his first visit since getting a new heart.
Cheney has stated that he owes a "huge debt" to the unknown donor whom gave him his new heart after having to wait 20 months on the transplant list.
He stated that he owes a "huge debt" to the unknown donor whom gave him his new heart. During this convention he didn't pronounce anything regarding the politics and debate regarding health care, but did staunchly defend the interrogation methods used by the Bush administration against terrorist suspects, which included water boarding.
In defense of these tactics Cheney stated that they:
"produced a wealth of information. Don't let anybody tell you the enhanced interrogation program didn't work. It did."
Mr. Cheney has endorsed Mitt Romney and stated that Republicans should unite behind him and avoid losing to Obama in a bid to prevent the present president from winning another 4 year term in the White House.
