EA has unveiled the second trailer for the upcoming game, 'Medal of Honor: Warfighter'. The new trailer offers a look at what gamers will be expecting this holiday season along with the opportunity to pre-order the game.
The trailer was featured as part of a newsletter sent on April 12, 2012 that states, "Based on the real-life experiences of the elite Tier 1 soldiers, 'Medal of Honor: Warfighter' is the most authentic shooter ever. Put yourself in the boots of the world's most highly trained soldiers as you go deep inside the global war on terror, to places like Basilan, Philippines and "Pirate Town", on the Somali Coast to stop a global threat. Step into the action to get up close and personal."
Medal of Honor: Warfighter will break from the Afghan War and will focus on the global War on Terror. The new trailer features actual gameplay footage from a mission that features Tier 1 on a hostage rescue mission in the Philippines along with a list of possible settings for the game.
Not much regarding the multiplayer aspect has been revealed except that it will allow gamers to play a variety of Special Forces from around the world.
The game will be released on October 23 2012, but gamers could pre-order the Limited Edition for no additional cost. The Limited Edition includes a U.S. Navy SEAL Sniper and the McMillan Tac-300 sniper rifle for multiplayer.
Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a direct sequel to Medal of Honor, a reboot of the series that was released in 2010. The first game was created by iconic film director Steven Spielberg and released in 1999 for the PlayStation. Since then it developed into a successful franchise that dominated the war-shooter genre until the release of Call of Duty.
