Fresno - A Hoover High School social sciences teacher faces charges for allegedly having sexual relations with an underage student in Fresno.
Meagan Denman, 29, was charged with one count of sex with a minor and two counts of oral copulation with a minor under 18 years of age, according to ABC news affiliate KFSN in Fresno. The social sciences teacher was arrested Tuesday and has since posted bail.
"They're good at getting around the rules." Denman said in an interview ABC30 did with the teacher last year on teenagers and cell phones. In ABC's report from the 11pm newscast anchor Amanda Perez reported it was unknown how long Meagan Denman had worked for the Unified School District but Superintendent Michael Hanson was quoted just two hours after Denman's release as saying "Words can not describe my deep disappointment in this alleged breach of teacher/student relationship."
Fresno police have told ABC30 that they have not found any other victims nor do they believe any of the acts took place on school property.
The DailyMail reported that Meagan Denman is also Hoover High's Cheer Coach and she reportedly got married only 18 months ago.
Meagan Denman is on paid administrative leave as police investigate the allegations according to KSFN.
