article imageFake doctor 'diagnosed' cancer & offered women perverted 'cures'

Apr 12, 2012 in Health
A 77-year-old man was jailed for 8 years yesterday for acting as a doctor, falsely diagnosing cancer and offering perverted cures to women.
The bogus doctor, Reginald Gill, 77, is wheelchair-bound and told his victims he had been an Army doctor, but he had no medical qualifications.
He then proceeded to falsely diagnose cancer in his women "patients" and offered perverted "treatments" for the ailment.
He told one patient that she could be cured if a man sucked her breasts for 30 minutes a day.
Further Gill shocked victims by falsely diagnosing cancer using a bizarre electrical probe.
According to Huffington Post, Gill has now been jailed for 8 years for dreaming up these perverted cancer treatments, so that he could sexually abuse female patients.
Gill ran an "alternative medical center" together with his wife Leila, 35, from their bungalow and they jointly abused 2 women.
The Judge in the court case, Keith Thomas said to Gill: “They said they would go through any humiliation and shame to cure themselves.
“After giving them this horrifying diagnosis you submitted them to degrading treatment.
“You also convinced your wife to go along with your depraved scheme.
"You convinced the women to strip naked in front of you and, under the pretence you were administering beneficial treatment, subjected them to sexual assault.”
The defense attorney, John Hopkins, told the Swansea crown court: “It was a quack enterprise motivated by the mistaken belief Reginald Gill had in his own capabilities.”
The conclusion of the court case was that Gill was found guilty of 3 sexual assaults, 6 assaults by penetration, and 2 counts of fraud. He will serve 8 years in prison.
His young wife, Leila Gill was convicted of sexual assault and fraud and received a 6 month sentence.
