article imageImprov Festival coming to Chicago

By Tim O'Brien     Apr 11, 2012 in Entertainment
Chicago - For years, the city of Chicago has been known as the place to be for improv and come April 23 to 29, that will certainly ring true.
The city will once again play host to the annual event known as The Chicago Improv Festival that is bound to bring laughter to those who choose to attend. Not only that, this event isn't just located at one location. No, it is not. It will be at 8-10 venues, while hosting groups from 14 cities across the United States. And many more from countries spanning the globe. All in all, some 75 improv groups will be participating.
If that isn't enough, the post parties will take place at Mullen’s Bar & Grill at 3527 N. Clark St.from April 24-29.
The Chicago Improv Festival was founded in 1998 to promote and teach improv as a true form of art. Over the last 15 years, the festival has featured some of the biggest names in comedy today: Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Seth Meyers ("SNL"), Horatio Sanz, Neil Flynn ("The Middle" and "Scrubs") and more.
