A senator from Iowa insulted President Barack Obama on Twitter. White House advisor David Axelrod responded to the attack with his own tweet.
RT reports that the tweet came as a result of Sen. Chuck Grassley's criticism of Obama's stand on the health care law.
Obama, the former Constitutional Law Professor, had stated that he didn't believe that the Supreme Court would take the "unprecedented, extraordinary step" of actually overturning the health care law and Grassley took offence.
The President had recently addressed the health care law debacle, which had made its way to the Supreme Court. Obama himself critiqued "judicial activism" by way of "unelected" judges on the Supreme Court. Many of his conservative opponents were against this, but only Senator Grassley has resorted to actually taking the President up on this.
In just 139 characters, Grassley insulted the President as follows:
"Constituents askd why i am not outraged at PresO attack on supreme court independence. Bcause Am ppl r not stupid as this x prof of con law"
However, revenge was sweet when former White House advisor, David Axelrod, sent a tweet of his own in return.
"Heads up, Sen. Grassley," Axelrod countered. "I think a 6-year-old hijacked your account and is sending out foolish Tweets just to embarrass you!"
Axelrod is currently working on Obama's re-election campaign and appears to be doing well at monitoring the tweets.
