The world's first air travel prayer time calculator has been launched by Singapore company Crescentrating. The innovative calculator will allow Muslim travelers to know the correct time to pray as their plane moves along its flight path.
Emirates 247 reported that the application will solve the problem experienced by Muslim travelers who are required to pray five times a day, but become confused as to the correct time when flying. Fazal Bahardeen of Crescentrating said "I knew there was lot of frustration among the travellers on this issue, but nobody had really attempted to solve it."According to Nation the application is very simple to use, explaining "one has to go to the website of Crescentrating and feed their departure airport, time of flight and destination and the prayer time will show up."
The company, which specializes in Halal friendly travel, said "We also plan to add other features such as direction for prayers in the future release of the app." The air travel prayer time calculator is expected to be a huge success due to the increasing number of Muslim travellers who accounted for 10 percent of global travel expenditure in 2010.
