Bollywood: Aishwarya Rai delighted to be in Dubai

Dubai - Bollywood's leading lady Aishwarya Rai Bachchan traveled to Dubai with four-month-old daughter Aaradhya, to attend the Dubai World Cup. The glamorous Indian star was in attendance as ambassador for Longines, the Swiss watch-maker.

As Digital Journal reported Aishwarya Rai was in Dubai to present the prize for the Most Elegant Dressed Lady at the races. The category, along with Most Creative Hat, was new to Dubai this year. Emirates 247 reported that the "Meydan was a kaleidoscope of colour" as Dubai's most fashion conscious flocked to the event. Aishwarya wore a traditional Indian dress by the Indian designer Sabyasachi, and was resplendent in bright orange with gold threaded through her hair, as she presented the prize of a Longines watch. Speaking to the Gulf News she said "Yes, I am travelling with my baby and its just wonderful to be in Dubai" adding "It's wonderful to be here and see such finely dressed women in their hats and beautiful dresses." Those hoping to catch a glimpse of baby Aaradhy were disappointed as she didn't attend the event with her mother.
