Mumbai - Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan attended her first award ceremony since the birth of four-month-old Aaradhya on Thursday. She was joined by her mother Vrinda Rai, at the L'Oreal Paris Femina Women Awards 2012 in Mumbai.
According to Sawf News Aishwarya Rai looked "excruciatingly beautiful in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Georgette Sherwani", and has reportedly lost a little weight since her last public outing.
Nathalie Gerschtein, Director of L'Oreal Paris, presented the former Miss World with the Iconic Woman of Worth Award. Receiving the award Aishwarya paid tribute to her mother. IB Times reported she said "She is the nucleus of my existence who has gently molded me, shaped me, picked me up when I've been down, has faith in me and taught me to be the very best version of me that I can be."
In spite of her weight loss Aishwarya Rai has said "Contrary to popular belief, right since modeling, to the (Miss World) title, to films, I have never been a fitness freak or exercised” Apunkachoice reported.
Unlike other celebrity new Mums Aishwarya was in no apparent haste to lose the baby weight following the birth of her daughter in November. Instead she took the time to enjoy her new role as mother to Aaradhya to the full, becoming a devoted parent alongside doting Daddy Abhishek, who last week splurged on a new car for the baby even though it will be years before she can officially take to the wheel.
